Se la prima ondata ha risparmiato il Veneto, lo stesso non si può dire della seconda. Il motivo? “Tra le cause – spiega Andrea Crisanti – metto il fatto che hanno usato tamponi rapidi per testare personale medico e delle Rsa. Tre volte su dieci danno un falso negativo”.
Il microbiologo e professore di Padova, dopo l’addio alla Regione di Luca Zaia per alcuni screzi con il governatore, è stato chiamato come consulente dalla Sardegna. Qui i tamponi rapidi – spiega il diretto interessato – sono utilizzati solo per fare screening sulla popolazione dell’Ogliastra, non su chi deve entrare in una Rsa o in un ospedale.
“Abbiamo sottoposto 35 mila sardi a test doppio con antigenici di ultima generazione, i più attendibili. È ben diverso“, spiega in un colloquio con Repubblica in quella che sembra una palese frecciatina al Veneto. Ma tra le tante motivazioni per cui il presidente di Regione leghista si è ritrovato a fare i conti con la pandemia anche la zona gialla.
“Il Veneto – prosegue – ha cifre che non tornano: in alcuni giorni registrano 160 morti eppure ci sono ‘solo’ 350-370 pazienti in terapia intensiva. In proporzione ai decessi, dovrebbero essere molti di più. C’è da chiedersi dove muoiano queste persone“.
E a chi gli chiede se queste critiche non sono altro che frutto di risentimento, Crisanti replica: “Non ho il dente avvelenato. Parlo da scienziato. Una settimana fa gli ho scritto per dirgli che sono disponibile a dare una mano”.
