Ospite a L’aria che tira su La7, Crisanti ha affrontato l’argomento vaccino, partendo dalle sue parole di novembre, che avevano creato grandi polemiche.
“Non ho espresso nessuno scetticismo sui vaccini, ho solo detto che sulla base dei dati avrei aspettato, ho espresso una posizione critica nei confronti della mancanza di trasparenza. Non ho mai, mai espresso una posizione critica nei confronti dei vaccini. Sono emersi dati, sono stati discussi con totale condivisione. Questo ha dato conforto alla comunità scientifica. Il clamore suscitato dalle mie parole era legato esclusivamente al provincialismo del dibattito“, ribadisce.
Crisanti dunque si vaccinerà, ma lo farà senza clamore. Come un privato cittadino.
“Non amo molto mostrarmi, la mia idea è fare il vaccino in santa pace come qualsiasi altro cittadino, senza le telecamere“.
“Indipendentemente dalla tecnologia, un vaccino vale l’altro, in base alla protezione che offre”, ha aggiunto il microbiologo.
“Dobbiamo quindi prendere il vaccino che ci verrà dato. Una patente sanitaria è un elemento che distingue una persona dall’altra, in modo radicale. Diverso il discorso sulla protezione: ciò che ci interessa è capire se ci sarà anche protezione dal contagio, come è probabile che ci sia. Tuttavia dovremmo continuare ad assumere ed osservare tutte le norme in vigore, non tanto per sé ma per gli altri. Al 10 settembre, si prevede che il 70-75% di persone siano immunizzate ma attenzione: dobbiamo tener conto della variante detta (in modo improprio) inglese, perché avendo un Rt maggiore ci obbligherà ad avere una percentuale più elevata di immunità di gregge da raggiungere”.
