Per la trasferta di Copa Libertadores ad Asunciòn, in Paraguay, contro il Libertad, il Boca potrà schierare giocatori positivi al Covid-19.
CONMEBOL e Ministero della Salute paraguayano hanno stabilito i termini della sopracitata decisione.
Per le istituzioni coinvolte la carica virale riscontrata nei tamponi è troppo bassa per comportare rischi di contagio.
La decisione presa dalla federazione sudamericana rischia di creare un precedente storico.
Intanto i rivali del Libertad sono estremamente irritati per la curiosa decisione, tanto da minacciare il ricorso in tribunale.
Il Boca Junior proprio ad inizio mese ha dovuto fronteggiare il focolaio esploso durante il ritiro del club.
Ben 18 calciatori, di cui 10 con sintomi, risultavano positivi al nuovo coronavirus.
Il rischio che la partita si potesse non giocare è stato immediatamente alto, tanto che tutti si aspettavano un rinvio della stessa.
La decisione, invece, è stata presa, anche se il condizionale è d’obbligo: la partita si dovrebbe giocare il 18 settembre.
Dibattiti, incredulità e polemiche. Queste sono state le reazioni del calcio sudamericano, e non solo.
A rendere questa scelta ancor più incredibile è il fatto che più della metà dei contagiati del Boca non si sia ancora negativizzato.
Nonostante ciò i giocatori positivi potranno, grazie alla scelta della federazione, viaggiare e giocare a causa dell’osservazione dei 14 giorni di quarantena, oltre alla bassa carica virale dei loro tamponi.

“Il Libertad esprime la sua totale indignazione, ripudio e assoluta preoccupazione per il trattamento differente e di favore nei confronti di queste persone a scapito della salute dell’intera popolazione paraguayana“. Ha scritto la squadra avversaria del Boca in un comunicato.
“Nelle prossime ore intraprenderemo le azioni legali pertinenti a salvaguardare la salute e la vita stessa non solo dei membri del club, ma di tutti coloro che risiedono in Paraguay, che hanno seguito le norme e meritano rispetto”.
