Tracce del virus sulle superficie di bus e treni. È la scoperta fatta dai Carabinieri del Nas, d’intesa con il Ministero della Salute, durante una campagna di controlli a livello nazionale per la corretta applicazione delle misure di contenimento epidemico sui servizi di trasporto pubblico.

I militari hanno eseguito “756 tamponi di superficie su mezzi di trasporto e stazioni (obliteratrici, maniglie e barre di sostegno per i passeggeri, pulsanti di richiesta di fermata e sedute), rilevando – riporta la nota del Nas – 32 casi di positività per la presenza di materiale genetico riconducibile al virus all’interno di autobus, vagoni metro e ferroviari operanti su linee di trasporto pubblico a Roma, Viterbo, Rieti, Latina, Frosinone, Varese e Grosseto”.

I test sono stati eseguiti in collaborazione con i servizi locali di Asl, agenzie di protezione ambientale ed enti universitari. Le analisi hanno “rilevato con certezza il transito e il contatto di individui infetti a bordo del mezzo, determinando la permanenza di una traccia virale”, osserva il Nas, anche se questa non è “indice di effettiva capacità di virulenza o vitalità” del virus.
