Bassetti sui vaccini. Il Prof. Matteo Bassetti, direttore della Clinica di Malattie infettive dell’ospedale San Martino di Genova e componente della task force Covid-19 della Liguria, commenta su Facebook e Instagram l’andamento dei contagi in Liguria e la situazione dei vaccini:
“Finita riunione clinica del venerdì con molte dimissioni e reparto Covid con molti posti liberi. La situazione appare stabile in progressivo lento miglioramento. Si parla tanto del futuro vaccino ma qualcuno sa che i vaccini Pfizer e Moderna sono più sicuri di ogni altro vaccino per virus del passato?”.
“Perché? perché non contiene un virus vivo o attenuato, ma un’informazione completamente diversa e non modifica nulla dal punto di vista genetico. L’Rna messaggero serve solo per portare un messaggio di come produrre anticorpi contro SarsCoV-2. Questo dovrebbe renderlo più fruibile e sicuro. Basta ignoranza sui vaccini. Siamo seri“.
“Il vaccino per SarsCoV-2, se fosse gia’ disponibile, me lo farei iniettare domani, anche prima dell’approvazione. Mi fido della serietà della ricerca medico-scientifica, che pratico, apprezzo e conosco da oltre 20 anni”.
“Per questo motivo invito tutti i miei colleghi, che siano essi medici chirurghi o veterinari, a non ingenerare dubbi nella gente: un conto è farlo in un congresso medico-scientifico, un conto in tv o sui giornali. Abbiamo una grande responsabilità in questo momento storico. Non dimentichiamolo”.
