“Gli anticorpi monoclonali” per la cura del coronavirus “vanno bene per chi non ne ha bisogno. Perché fondamentalmente hanno un effetto per i casi moderati e non gravi” di Covid-19. “Penso sia uno spreco di soldi senza precedenti. In presenza di un vaccino, spendere 2-4mila euro per un anticorpo monoclonale senza nessun dato che dimostri che” questi farmaci “sono in grado di prevenire l’infezione grave, quando poi c’è il trial dell’Eli Lilly che dimostra che nei pazienti gravi sono controproducenti, penso che sia sbagliato”.

Lo ha detto il virologo Andrea Crisanti, direttore del Laboratorio di Microbiologia e Virologia dell’Azienda ospedaliera di Padova e docente di Microbiologia dell’ateneo cittadino, ospite di ‘Oggi è un altro giorno’ su Rai1.
