La Polizia Postale sta monitorando le truffe sul dark web che riguardano la vendita illegale di dosi di vaccino. E dalle polizie straniere arrivano anche segnalazioni di vendita di dosi contraffatte. Fenomeno ancora più pericoloso.
”Abbiamo visto che sul dark web ci sono offerte di vendita di vaccini e stiamo monitorando attentamente – spiega all’Adnkronos il direttore del Servizio di Polizia Postale e delle Comunicazioni, Nunzia Ciardi – Un fenomeno che balza agli occhi sotto il profilo della truffa. In sintesi chi acquista e paga queste dosi poi non si vede recapitare nulla. Vengono proposte dosi di vaccino a vari prezzi, fino a 1.000 dollari per una dose. Poi per contrattare ci si sposta sulle app di messaggistica”.
Le indagini sul dark web sono molto complesse, spiega Ciardi, ”non è semplice infatti individuare chi propone la vendita, visto che queste zone del web sono caratterizzate da un anonimato molto spiccato”.
”Inoltre – sottolinea Ciardi – ci sono arrivate segnalazioni da qualche polizia straniera su vaccini contraffatti, anche se non siamo a conoscenza di sottrazioni alle aziende produttrici. Se ne deduce che in questo caso il rischio è ancora maggiore, perché non si sa cosa possano contenere queste dosi”.
Truffa dark web sul vaccino, i consigli della Polizia Postale
Il direttore della Polizia Postale rivolge quindi un appello ai cittadini. ”Ricordiamo a tutti che il vaccino è gratuito e che ci si deve affidare solo a circuiti ufficiali – dice Ciardi – I cittadini non devono rivolgersi a canali pericolosi come il dark web. Si rischia nella migliore delle ipotesi di cadere in una trappola”.
Ciardi sottolinea poi che, a prescindere dai vaccini, ”c’è un fenomeno pandemico dei cyber reati”. Cioè ‘‘un aumento del numero dei reati informatici che è un effetto collaterale ulteriore della pandemia’‘.
”Il web in questo momento è per la criminalità l’unico terreno favorevole – spiega – La percentuale di incremento dei reati sul web nei primi 11 mesi del 2020 è di oltre il 400%. I nostri dati sono quelli che in assoluto registrano una crescita maggiore ma ciò che è veramente preoccupante non è la crescita quanto la dimensione della crescita”.
