Rider muore investito – È l’ennesima tragedia che sconvolge il mondo dei rider. Un uomo di 47 anni, di origini filippine, è stato investito da un’auto ed è morto, il tutto mentre stava andando a fare una consegna. È successo ieri sera, la dinamica dell’incidente è ancora tutta da chiarire.
Il rider ha parcheggiato il mezzo di trasporto con cui faceva le consegne di fronte al McDonald’s di Montecatini Terme in via Camporcioni. Stava attraversando la strada quando, improvvisamente, è stato investito da un’automobile, mentre era in corso un temporale e la visibilità era limitata.
L’uomo, sposato e padre di due figlie, lavorava per Deliveroo, e in quel momento stava attraversando la strada proprio per andare a prendere un ordine nel punto della nota catena di fast food. Dopo il violentissimo impatto il suo corpo è stato sbalzato in avanti per decine di metri.

A nulla sono serviti i soccorsi del 118, con gli operatori che hanno tentato di rianimarlo. L’automobilista è stato subito sottoposto all’alcol test dalle forze dell’ordine ed è risultato negativo. L’incidente si è verificato poco dopo le 20.
L’azienda per cui lavorava l’uomo, Deliveroo, ha espresso cordoglio per la morte del rider attraverso le parole del general manager di Deliveroo Italy, Matteo Sarzana: “Desidero esprimere, a nome mio e di tutta l’azienda, le nostre più sentite condoglianze e il nostro sentimento di vicinanza verso i familiari di Romulo Sta Ana – ha detto Sarzana – Abbiamo appreso la notizia con grande dolore e sconcerto”.
“La dinamica non è ancora chiara. Abbiamo contattato il Comando dei Carabinieri che sono intervenuti sul posto per metterci a loro disposizione. Stiamo contattando la famiglia alla quale siamo e saremo vicini”.
