Dramma a Castellanza – A Castellanza un bimbo malato è morto in ospedale, nell’indigenza totale. I genitori non potevano neppure permettersi il funerale e così il Comune ha deciso di pagare le spese utili a una sepoltura dignitosa. Il piccolo è morto dopo il ricovero e la sua famiglia non aveva nulla per pagargli il funerale.
Il nucleo familiare era già in carico al settore socio-assistenziale del territorio e le condizioni economiche precarie erano note. Così il Comune ha trovato d’urgenza un’agenzia di onoranze funebri per le esequie che potesse svolgere il servizio nel minor tempo possibile.
Un’ultima notizia ai limiti della tristezza, quella raccontata da La Prealpina.it, che però non è un caso isolato: la municipalità, infatti, ha dovuto provvedere già altre volte a dei funerali seguendo il regolamento cimiteriale in casi di grave indigenza.

Recente è anche la storia di un cittadino indigente morto in una Rsa per la quale il Comune pagava la retta mensile. Alla sua morte, dopo un’analisi attenta dei rapporti familiari del signore, si è attestato che l’uomo non aveva una rete familiare o disponibilità economica per il funerale.
Così, il Comune si è occupato di lui, pagando le esequie e concedendo uno spazio nel cimitero, aggiungendo poi le spese di trasporto, manifesti, cassa, funerale e loculo. Una cifra consistente quella spesa anche per l’anziano, abbastanza importante da lasciare immaginare come una famiglia del tutto indigente non potesse permettersi di pagare le esequie del figlioletto, ricoverato in ospedale per una malattia della quale attualmente non si conoscono i dettagli.
Storie del genere sono da mettere in conto nel pagamento delle spese sociali: si tratta di vere e proprie emergenze davanti alle quali non si può restare a guardare, soprattutto quando i protagonisti sono bambini che non hanno potuto godere della stessa serenità dei coetanei.
