Cetty Sommella è scomparsa nella giornata del 9 marzo 2021. L’attrice teatrale napoletana era la moglie di Nando Paone, altro notissimo attore teatrale del capoluogo partenopeo e noto al grande pubblico per numerosi spettacoli e film con Vincenzo Salemme.
Salemme ha voluto dedicare un pensiero a Cetty Sommella con questo lungo post su Facebook:
“Dedico questo post ad una persona carissima che ci ha lasciati ieri. Si chiamava Cetty, vezzeggiativo di Concetta e di cognome faceva Sommella. Era una mia carissima amica e, lo scrivo per quelli tra voi che non la conoscevano, una bravissima e sensibile artista. L’avevo conosciuta attrice circa 40 anni fa e come attrice l’avevo frequentata tra le maglie di Luca de Filippo prima e poi come interprete in alcuni miei spettacoli”.
“Negli ultimi anni aveva abbandonato il percorso della recitazione e si era dedicata alla scrittura ed al progetto di un laboratorio teatrale insieme al marito Nando Paone. La sede, una piccola sala dedicata a Moliere, il luogo, Pozzuoli.E da Pozzuoli parto per dire che ci accomunavano diverse cose, a me e a Cetty. Tra queste, la comune provenienza dai campi flegrei. Io sono di bacoli, poco distante dalla città che sembra scolpita e nel tufo. L’odore, per me insostituibile, della solfatara tiene legati tra loro tutti i comuni dei campi flegrei”.

“E pure una subliminale impossibilità di programmare il futuro perché il futuro è reso troppo incerto dal magma minaccioso che scorre sotto i piedi di chi è nato e vive in quelle terre.E, come me, amava il teatro, Cetty. Lo possono testimoniare le tante ragazze e i tanti ragazzi che si sono avvicendati nella veste di studenti in questi anni di attività del laboratorio del teatro Moliere. Eravamo legati da momenti belli e momenti tormentati. Eravamo accomunati da un personaggio di una mia commedia, si chiamava Romina, aveva un accento puteolano spiccato, metteva in croce il povero Ermanno (Carlo Buccirosso) e faceva davvero morire dalle risate”.
“Aveva una scrittura surreale, originalissima. Era una donna che sapeva scoprire le proprie paure, mostrarle al mondo e riderne con autoironia.Amava Nando e io lo so. Perché voglio bene a Nando e perché li ho sposati. Nel municipio di Napoli. Era bellissima, di una bellezza quasi antica. Antica come profondità culturale. Aveva un timbro grave, scuro nella voce dal quale sembrava quasi intimidita e allora cercava di alleggerirlo fingendo una frivolezza che purtroppo non aveva. Ma nelle lunghe chiacchierate fatte al telefono in questa ultima estate, parlava in modo naturale e nella pienezza di se. Forse la malattia, nella sua crudeltà, l’ha costretta a mettersi in pace con se stessa”.
“In questo ultimo anno, Cetty mi è sembrata una donna a tutto tondo, fiera e concreta. Mi sembrava avesse finalmente accettato se stessa e addirittura si volesse bene. Forse è solo un’illusione, la mia, ma voglio credere se ne sia andata così da questo mondo. Che questo mondo le facesse meno paura di quanta gliene abbia fatto in tutta la vita. Spero e prego che ci sia davvero qualcosa di bello ad attenderla adesso. Che la faccia sorridere e la sappia ascoltare. Spero che Dio abbia un volto diverso per ognuno di noi. Spero che il Dio che sta aspettando Cetty abbia il volto di Nando e la forza del suo amore”.
