Questa l’unica richiesta di Antonio Ciontoli al direttore del carcere romano di Rebibbia, stando a quanto riporta il Messaggero.

L’istanza è stata però respinta per questioni di protocollo. Federico Ciontoli e suo padre si sono presentati in carcere poche ore dopo la sentenza della Corte di Cassazione e sono stati accompagnati al centro clinico di Rebibbia, dove rimarranno in isolamento per qualche giorno a causa dei protocolli anti Covid. Le prime ore in cella, sempre stando a quanto riporta il Messaggero, le hanno trascorse guardando la televisione. La moglie di Antonio Ciontoli, Maria, e la figlia Martina si trovano nella sezione femminile dello stesso carcere, anche loro in quarantena nell’infermeria. Le due dormiranno nella stessa cella.

Caso Vannini, la sentenza della Corte di Cassazione

Con la pronuncia del 3 maggio scorso, i giudici della Corte di Cassazione hanno chiuso definitivamente il caso giudiziario legato all’omicidio di Marco Vannini, morto a causa di un colpo di pistola sparato da Antonio Ciontoli nella sua villetta di Ladispoli, litorale nord di Roma, nell’estate del 2015. Cinque sentenze, quella di primo grado, due appelli e due sentenze della Cassazione hanno messo la parola fine alla vicenda processuale: Ciontoli è stato condannato a 14 anni per omicidio volontario. Lo sparo è partito per errore, hanno ricostruito i giudici, e quindi è colposo, ma il comportamento doloso di Ciontoli consiste nell’aver ritardato volontariamente e consapevolmente i soccorsi. Senza quelle azioni, hanno mostrato le perizie, probabilmente Marco Vannini sarebbe ancora in vita.

I familiari di Ciontoli sono stati tutti condannati a 9 anni e 4 mesi per concorso semplice in omicidio volontario. Per i giudici hanno aiutato volontariamente il padre. In questo caso la Corte di Cassazione ha operato l’unica modifica rispetto alla sentenza dei giudici d’appello bis: il ‘concorso anomalo’, infatti’, è stato trasformato in ‘concorso semplice’. Questo non ha, tuttavia, cambiato l’entità della pena per Maria, Federico e Martina.
