Elio de Le Storie Tese lancia un appello importante rivolto a tutte le Regioni italiane, pubblicato sulle pagine del Corriere della Sera: “Vaccinate tutti i ragazzi autistici e i fragili: le famiglie sono in ginocchio”.
L’artista sa bene ciò che sta dicendo: ha un figlio con autismo e si ritrova quindi come tanti altri padri, madri e famiglie in generale (almeno 600mila sarebbero i nuclei familiari interessati). Tutti loro sono provati dalla delicata situazione che l’emergenza sanitaria ha provocato. “Alcune regioni hanno già iniziato a vaccinare i soggetti fragili e chi li assiste; è ora che lo facciano tutti”.
Elio, pseudonimo di Stefano Belisari, ha lanciato il suo appello nei giorni scorsi parlando del 2 aprile, la Giornata mondiale per la consapevolezza sull’autismo che si celebra proprio oggi.

Da anni il frontman del celebre gruppo italiano si batte per diffondere informazioni che sensibilizzino sull’autismo.
“Vaccinate al più presto i ragazzi autistici e chi vive accanto a loro. La situazione delle famiglie con figli autistici in tempi di Covid è difficile anche solo da descrivere. Non si tratta di sopravvivere giorno per giorno, ma ora per ora. Molte di queste persone non sono autosufficienti e hanno bisogno di assistenza 24 ore su 24”, ha dichiarato Elio.
Si è poi espresso circa l’eventualità di un ricovero in ospedale dei soggetti caratterizzati da autismo: “Non è immaginabile l’eventualità di un ricovero in ospedale, tantomeno in terapia intensiva. E non bisogna commettere l’errore di pensare che l’autismo riguardi solo i bambini: esiste un esercito di autistici adulti, assistiti solo da genitori anziani allo stremo”.
