Paolo Scerni – A perdere la vita ieri sera nel tragico incidente stradale sull’autostrada A26 fra Ovada e Masone è stato il 46enne Paolo Scerni, figlio di Gianni, ex presidente del Genoa e imprenditore del mondo dello shipping conosciuto a livello internazionale.
Paolo Scerni, velista di fama mondiale e anche lui impiegato nel settore di famiglia, era alla guida dell’Audi S6 che si è schiantata contro un tir uscito dall’area di sosta Anzema al chilometro 19 in direzione nord tra i caselli di Masone e Ovada.
In auto insieme con Scerni – che era residente nel Principato di Monaco – si trovava un altro uomo di 46 anni che è ricoverato in gravi condizioni al pronto soccorso dell’ospedale Villa Scassi di Genova.
Il tir viaggiava contromano. In mattinata, Procura e polizia Stradale hanno confermato che il camion era contromano e ha imboccato la carreggiata sbagliata all’uscita dell’area di sosta: il conducente ha tentato un’inversione di marcia, bloccando però l’intera sede stradale.
L’auto su cui viaggiava Scerni si è schiantata contro il rimorchio del mezzo: il pubblico ministero, Giuseppe Longo, ha indagato il camionista (un cittadino bulgaro rimasto illeso) per omicidio stradale e disposto l’autopsia sul corpo del 46enne.
