Incidente Tiger Woods – Grave incidente stradale per Tiger Woods. Il campione di golf è stato estratto gravemente ferito alle gambe: ha riportato molteplici fratture, ha riferito il suo agente, Mark Steinberg. Le ferite non sono comunque pericolose per la vita, secondo il tenente Michael White del dipartimento dello sceriffo della contea di Los Angeles.
Secondo le ultime notizie l’incidente è avvenuto a Ranchos Palos Verdes, nella contea di Los Angeles. Woods, 45 anni è stato portato in ospedale a bordo di un’ambulanza. L’incidente riguarda solo la sua auto, che si sarebbe rovesciata dopo l’uscita di strada. I vigili del fuoco e i paramedici per liberarlo hanno dovuto tagliare le lamiere dell’auto.
L’incidente è avvenuto, secondo il report delle autorità di Los Angeles, poco dopo le 7 del mattino. Il golfista si trova attualmente in sala operatoria. Secondo quanto riportato da Tmz, non ci sarebbe l’alcool alla base dell’accaduto, anche se al momento le fonti del noto sito di gossip non si sbilanciano sul possibile uso di altre sostanze.
In dubbio per il Masters di Augusta dopo l’ennesimo intervento alla schiena, l’ex numero uno del mondo non è nuovo alle cronache extrasportive: nel 2009, nei pressi della sua casa in Florida, un altro incidente d’auto mentre nel 2017 fu arrestato perché alla guida in stato confusionale, a causa di un mix di medicinali prescrittigli da un medico.
“Riprenditi presto, sei un vero campione”. Anche l’ex presidente americano Donald Trump, grande appassionato di golf, ha fatto i suoi auguri a Woods.
