“Se Conte vuole pieni poteri come Salvini, io dico no”.
Lo afferma il leader di Italia Viva, Matteo Renzi, in un’intervista al Pais, dicendosi pronto a far cadere il governo se il presidente del Consiglio non farà marcia indietro sulla cabina di regia per la gestione dei fondi europei.
Alla domanda “è pronto a far cadere il governo se Conte non farà marcia indietro?”, Renzi risponde: “Sì, perché questo non è un problema di posti, che pure mi hanno offerto. (…) Il meccanismo del dibattito sulle regole istituzionali non può essere compensato con un piccolo accordo”.
“Conte – prosegue Renzi – sta viaggiando in contromano su un’autostrada“, ma “se recupera la lucidità e frena su questa misura assurda, siamo pronti a ragionare sulla questione“.
Conte, afferma ancora il leader di Iv intervistato al telefono, è stato confermato presidente del Consiglio “dopo che, un anno e mezzo fa, avevamo fatto un’operazione in Parlamento contro Salvini“. Il primo ministro, aggiunge Renzi, ha lavorato contro la pandemia, “e in alcune cose lo ha fatto meglio che in altre, ma non si può accettare che in nome dell’emergenza, 10 mesi dopo il suo inizio si arroghi tutti i poteri dello Stato per spendere questi 200 miliardi. Abbiamo rimosso Salvini per questo”. Alla domanda se crede di avere in questo l’appoggio almeno di una parte del Pd e dell’opposizione, Renzi risponde: “Molti di quelli che in pubblico prendono le distanze da me, in privato riconoscono che le nostre critiche sono giuste e autentiche. Per questo spero che Conte si fermi”.
