Agostino Miozzo lascia la guida del Comitato tecnico scientifico. La decisone, concordata con Palazzo Chigi e con il ministro della Salute Roberto Speranza, è stata ufficializzata domenica con una lettera di dimissioni. Miozzo ha deciso di “lavorare con il ministro della Pubblica istruzione Patrizio Bianchi per dedicarsi ai problemi della scuola“.
A prendere il suo posto alla guida del Cts dovrebbe essere Fabio Ciciliano, attuale segretario.
Come riportato da Il Corriere della Sera, Miozzo “non ha mai nascosto la convinzione che la didattica a distanza non fosse un buon rimedio per i ragazzi”. E quindi, dopo l’insediamento del governo Draghi, si è incontrato più volte col ministro Bianchi proprio per mettere a punto un programma che consenta di riportare gli studenti in presenza.
Nella lettera di dimissioni Miozzo parla di come “nel tempo sono state progressivamente modificate le competenze ed il ruolo originale”. Concorda su una “sostanziale rivisitazione del suo mandato” e per questo “considera” che il suo “incarico di coordinatore possa ritenersi compiuto”.
“Credo di potermi dedicare ora ad un’altra emergenza, quella scolastica. Spero di poter dare un fattivo contributo a quel settore che considero strategico per la vita ed il futuro del nostro Paese”, afferma.
