Un invito a tenere vicino a noi il Vangelo, la Parola di Dio. A portarlo sempre in tasca. A spegnere tv e cellulare e dedicarsi alla lettura della Bibbia. Così Papa Francesco nell’omelia da lui preparata, in occasione della seconda edizione della Domenica della Parola di Dio, che viene pronunciata da monsignor Rino Fisichella.
“Cari fratelli e sorelle, non rinunciamo alla Parola di Dio. E’ la lettera d’amore scritta per noi da Colui che ci conosce come nessun altro: leggendola, sentiamo nuovamente la sua voce, scorgiamo il suo volto, riceviamo il suo Spirito. La Parola – sottolinea il Pontefice – ci fa vicini a Dio: non teniamola lontana. Portiamola sempre con noi, in tasca, nel telefono; diamole un posto degno nelle nostre case. Mettiamo il Vangelo in un luogo dove ci ricordiamo di aprirlo quotidianamente, magari all’inizio e alla fine della giornata, così che tra tante parole che arrivano alle nostre orecchie giunga al cuore qualche versetto della Parola di Dio. Per fare questo, chiediamo al Signore la forza di spegnere la televisione e di aprire la Bibbia; di chiudere il cellulare e di aprire il Vangelo”.
“In quest’Anno liturgico leggiamo quello di Marco, il più semplice e breve. Perché non leggerlo anche da soli, un piccolo passo ogni giorno? Ci farà sentire il Signore vicino e ci infonderà coraggio nel cammino della vita”, conclude nell’omelia Papa Francesco.
