A dirlo nel corso di un’intervista televisiva alla Cnn è Jodi Doering, infermiera americana impegnata in prima linea nell’emergenza Covid-19.
L’operatrice sanitaria sottolinea: “La cosa più tragica è vederli morire increduli: continuano a dire che il coronavirus non esiste anche mentre li sta uccidendo. Le loro ultime parole a volte sono: dimmi la verità, che malattia ho?“.
Un racconto che l’infermiera aveva voluto già condividere su Twitter. “Ho una notte di riposo dall’ospedale. Dato che sono sul divano con il mio cane non posso fare a meno di pensare ai pazienti Covid degli ultimi giorni. Ci sono ancora quelli che non credono che il virus sia reale. Ti dicono che deve esserci un altro motivo per cui sono malati. Ti chiamano per nome e ti chiedono perché devi indossare tutta quella ‘roba’ perché il Covid non è reale. Sì. Succede davvero”, recitava il tweet di Jodi Doering.
