Variante Covid a Roma – Ultime notizie da Roma sulla variante Covid che in queste ore sta facendo temere tutta Europa. A darne notizia è il portale di Quotidiano.net che cita un comunicato stampa del Ministero della Salute. Ecco uno stralcio dell’articolo in questione:
“La variante del Covid proveniente dall’Inghilterra è stata isolata anche in Italia, nei laboratori dell’ospedale militare del Celio di Roma. In nota del ministero della Salute spiega che “Il Dipartimento scientifico del Celio, che in questa emergenza sta collaborando con l’Istituto superiore di sanità, ha sequenziato il genoma del virus proveniente da un soggetto risultato positivo” con la variante riscontrata nelle ultime settimane in Gran Bretagna”.

“Il paziente, e il suo convivente rientrato negli ultimi giorni dal Regno Unito con un volo atterrato presso l’aeroporto di Fiumicino, sono in isolamento e hanno seguito, insieme agli altri familiari e ai contatti stretti, tutte le procedure stabilite dal Ministero della Salute“.
“Dopo che ieri è stata data notizia che una nuova variante del Coronavirus è stata individuata a Londra e nel sud-est del Paese, oggi l’Organzizazione mondiale della sanità va in più in là e annuncia che la stessa nuova variante scoperta in Gran Bretagna è stata individuata anche in Danimarca (9 i casi finora accertati) e Australia, oltre che in Olanda e per ultimo, anche in Italia. Si tratterebbe dunque di un nuovo ceppo di Covid-19 capace di propagarsi più velocemente tra la popolazione. E la situazione in Gran Bretagna è grave”.
“La nuova variante è “fuori controllo”, ha dichiarato il ministro alla Sanità britannico, Matt Hancock. “Abbiamo agito con decisione e molto rapidamente. Purtroppo la nuova variante è fuori controllo. Dobbiamo metterla sotto controllo”. Oggi, intanto, si registra un record di contagi in Gran Bretagna: sono 35.928 nelle ultime 24 ore, il numero più alto in un giorno dall’inizio della pandemia. Stando alle cifre ufficiali, i decessi sono 326. I casi, stando ai media britannici, sono aumentati del 50% in una settimana”.
