Vaccino Johnson & Johnson monodose – L’Agenzia europea del farmaco (Ema) ha dato la sua autorizzazione al vaccino monodose di J&J. A comunicarlo è la stessa agenzia su Twitter.
L’Ema ha raccomandato di concedere un’autorizzazione all’immissione in commercio condizionata per Janssen, il vaccino dell’azienda di J & J a partire dai 18 anni.
«Questo è il primo vaccino che può essere usato come dose singola», ha ricordato la direttrice esecutiva dell’Ema Emer Cooke. La raccomandazione Ema si basa sull’analisi di uno studio clinico che ha coinvolto 44 mila persone negli Stati Uniti, in Sud Africa e nei paesi dell’America Latina.
Lo studio ha rilevato un’efficacia del vaccino del 67%. Gli effetti collaterali nello studio sono risultati generalmente lievi o moderati e sono stati risolti entro un paio di giorni dalla vaccinazione.
