Ospite di Rai Radio 1 ad “Un giorno da Pecora”, Walter Ricciardi ha rilasciato forti dichiarazioni riguardo la situazione Covid-19 in Italia.
“Due settimane? Secondo me sono insufficienti. I lockdown a Wuhan ed in Cina ci insegnano che serve tempo. Io non voglio spaventare nessuno ma per appiattire la curva serve un mese, un mese e mezzo“.
Così ha esordito Ricciardi, che ha poi continuato.
“Anche da noi la prima ondata, che aveva numeri minori di quelli attuali, è durata di più. Se notate ad aprile i numeri si stabilizzarono, per poi diminuire a maggio, quindi quasi due mesi. Temo, dunque, che le zone rosse e non solo resteranno in lockdown per più tempo“.
Ricciardi poi alla domanda “Come si immagina il Natale?“ ha risposto: “Me lo immagino come un Natale prudente… dove nelle regioni che stanno un po’ meglio magari ci sarà un po’ di mobilità. Ma senza cenoni e feste, perchè anche se ce ne fosse di meno il virus circola comunque. Delle celebrazioni sobrie insomma”.
Il consigliere del ministero della Salute poi conclude sull’argomento ospedali: “La situazione è drammatica in tutta Italia. Non riusciamo più a ricoverare la gente negli ospedali. In questo momento si ricoverano solo i malati gravi. I posti di degenza degli ospedali stanno finendo. Il sistema va al collasso perchè non riusciamo più a ricoverare pazienti con altre patologie“.
