“Serve una stretta sulle misure, ma in questo momento un lockdown duro, simile a quello di aprile scorso, non sarebbe facilmente sostenibile. Ci sarebbe una difficoltà oggettiva di adesione da parte di una gran quota di categorie di persone che stanno ancora affrontando sacrifici e che sono state, giocoforza, le più colpite”. E’ la visione del virologo dell’università degli Studi di Milano Fabrizio Pregliasco.
Mentre un nuovo Dpcm si appresta a dettare il ritmo delle restrizioni delle prossime settimane, e si registra la reazione di chi è costretto alla zona rossa come la Lombardia, fra gli esperti c’è chi mette in guardia sulla necessità di nuovi blocchi drastici per fermare la corsa del virus – e il rischio che si affaccino pericolose varianti – e non minare la vaccinazione. Lo stesso consulente del ministro della Salute per l’emergenza coronavirus, Walter Ricciardi, ha segnalato l’opportunità di un lockdown energico di un mese.
“Sono motivazioni condivisibili – ammette Pregliasco all’Adnkronos Salute – ma si pone una questione di sostenibilità. Noi abbiamo sperato in buona fede, quando eravamo nel pieno della seconda ondata, che la stretta” di ottobre-novembre “avrebbe consentito un Natale libero. Abbiamo detto ai cittadini: resistete ora per non privarvi delle feste poi. Non ci siamo riusciti a far sì che questo traguardo si raggiungesse, perché il virus ha una grande capacità diffusiva. In questo momento in cui non si vede una prospettiva. Io temo che, come evidenzia la stessa dirigenza della Regione Lombardia, vada tenuto conto del fatto che non esiste un manuale per la gestione del lockdown e si deve trovare una modalità che stringa le maglie, come l’ultimo Dpcm, ma in maniera sostenibile”.
Pregliasco nuovo DPCM: “Lockdown ha dei limiti”
L’ultimo Dpcm va visto come “una ulteriore dose di medicina amara per arrivare a qualcosa di utile rispetto agli obiettivi della riduzione dei contagi e la messa in sicurezza della campagna vaccinale. Bisogna essere realistici e guardare anche i limiti mostrati dal lockdown”, aggiunge Pregliasco.
“La velocità della vaccinazione è fondamentale – ribadisce – perché è quella che dà il vero risultato. Con le misure siamo riusciti a mitigare la diffusione della malattia, ma la sostenibilità ha dei limiti ed è difficile imporre un nuovo lockdown, visti i segnali di stanchezza che arrivano dalla popolazione. Abbiamo visto aspetti di rivolta che non hanno avuto una grande risonanza e adesione, e che pure non sono accettabili perché infrangere la legge non è il modo giusto per far presente la sofferenza oggettiva di una certa categoria di persone che si sacrificano obtorto collo, ma questa sofferenza c’è e non si può ignorare”.
