“C’è anche l’abbraccio fra i contatti più tragicamente pericolosi in questa pandemia. Noi dell’Oms ci troviamo di fronte a un orribile dilemma, ma dobbiamo essere chiari: raccomandiamo alle persone di non abbracciarsi durante queste feste“.
Lo ha sottolineato Mike Ryan, il capo delle operazioni di emergenza dell’Organizzazione mondiale della sanità, rispondendo a una domanda in conferenza stampa a Ginevra. “Penso che in Paesi come gli Stati Uniti, dove muore 1-2 persone al minuto, il messaggio deve essere: non vi abbracciate“.
“Il tempo e la tipologia rendono un contatto ad alto, basso o medio rischio Covid – ha aggiunto Maria Van Kerkhove, a capo del gruppo tecnico dell’Oms per il coronavirus – noi consideriamo una finestra di 15 minuti passati accanto a una persona positiva per un contatto a rischio, poi oltre al tempo occorre tener conto della tipologia: se ci sono abbracci o baci si tratta di un contatto ad alto rischio“, conclude.
