Ho detto loro che erano dei medici e che non si smette mai di essere medici, indipendentemente dalla struttura nella quale si lavora, che non esiste solo questo Covid!”.
E’ la denuncia di Rosy Martino, sorella di Giuseppe, un ragazzo di 30 anni di San Prisco morto nella mattinata di martedì per arresto cardiovascolare fuori l’ospedale Melorio di Santa Maria Capua Vetere, in provincia di Caserta, convertito in Covid Hospital.
Il giovane si era recato in macchina al nosocomio dopo il mancato arrivo di ambulanza e guardia medica prontamente allertati: “Sarà la magistratura a fare il proprio corso – spiega la donna – Quello che è certo è che nel nostro paese non può non esserci un presidio ospedaliero”.

“Mio fratello era un ragazzo speciale, si usa dire così quando si hanno dei problemi – continua Rosy in un post pubblicato dall’associazione ‘Ciò che vedo in città‘ su Facebook – Ciò che vedo in città di Santa Maria Capua Vetere – Quello che è capitato è qualcosa di schifoso”.
“Mio fratello già a casa ha perso i sensi, subito mi sono accorta della situazione e subito ho allertato ambulanze, guardia medica e presidi che non sono mai arrivati! E questo nonostante io avessi specificato le caratteristiche e le problematiche di mio fratello. Così, disperata, ho cercato di farmi aiutare dall’ospedale Melorio, sapevo fosse un centro Covid ma speravo che comunque mi aiutassero visto che il loro mestiere è aiutare la gente”.
“Mi sono recata personalmente, con lui e con alcuni familiari – continua Rosy – I presenti non hanno mosso un dito per cercare di rianimarlo. Continuavano a ripetere ‘siamo un centro Covid‘ alle mie urla di rabbia, disperazione, esortazione, sollecitazione”.
“Ho detto loro che erano dei medici e che non si smette mai di essere medici, indipendentemente dalla struttura nella quale si lavora, che non esiste solo questo Covid! Dopo circa 15 minuti si sono degnati, sprezzanti, di rispondermi urlando che se non la smettevo di gridare non avrebbero fatto più niente”.
“Ma si può avere risposte simili? Nonostante fossi disperata, addolorata perché per me Giuseppe era come un figlio, ero lucida e sono sempre stata molto educata – conclude – Abbiamo fatto dei sacrifici enormi per questo ragazzo, sacrifici inimmaginabili. Magari mio fratello sarebbe morto lo stesso, ma la mancanza di umanità mi ha fatto schifo!”.
La Procura di Santa Maria Capua Vetere, infatti, ha aperto un’inchiesta sulla morte di Giuseppe e sarà la magistratura a stabilire colpe e responsabilità. La salma del 30enne si trova a Caserta in attesa dell’esame autoptico: per ora il fascicolo aperto in Procura è a carico di ignoti, mentre l’ipotesi di reato è quella di omicidio colposo.
Dopo il decesso, all’ospedale Melorio sono arrivati i carabinieri, che hanno constatato come a tentare di rianimare il ragazzo siano stati i sanitari del 118, presenti anche loro nel nosocomio quando il giovane è arrivato.
