Non l’avrebbe mai (o quasi) utilizzata. Né in classe, né nei corridoi, né tantomeno al bar della scuola presso cui insegna Storia e Filosofia. Il professore Mauro Mortara proprio non ne vuole sapere di indossare la mascherina. E così, dopo mesi di richiami e una segnalazione ai carabinieri, la preside dell’Istituto Superiore Enrico Fermi di Mantova, la dirigente Marianna Pavesi, lo ha fatto sanzionare proprio dai militari, allertati dopo aver notato che il suo docente, ancora una volta, durante una lezione in presenza, non vestiva il dispositivo di protezione individuale.

Come riportato dal Corriere della sera, che ne ha dato notizia, il professor Mortara – sul cui profilo Facebook appaiono dei chiari post negazionisti circa la reale utilità di indossare la mascherina e la situazione pandemica – ha varcato i confini della scuola solo a partire da quest’anno scolastico. La nuova presenza tra i corridoi dell’Istituto è stata accolta con diffidenza, in virtù della sua propensione a tenere abbassata la mascherina in ogni luogo si recasse, vissuto non solo dagli altri docenti ma da tutti i ragazzi che frequentano la scuola. Ad alcuni di loro, suoi alunni, ha poi detto che “L’obbligo di coprire naso e bocca è paragonabile alle leggi razziali del Ventennio fascista”.
