“Oggi nel mio reparto sto vedendo ricoverate solo persone non vaccinate e purtroppo alcuni giovani. Io spero per chi decide di vaccinarsi a ottobre che non sia troppo tardi”. Così Matteo Bassetti, docente ordinario di Malattie infettive a Genova, che ha spiegato di aver ricoverato solo ieri nel suo reparto un ragazzo di 27 anni.
“Lo scetticismo legato alla campagna vaccinale è dovuto al fatto che si tratta di un vaccino nuovo”, ha continuato nel suo intervento. “Un vaccino che ha otto mesi di vita e meno male che sia arrivato subito, questo le persone devono capirlo. A ottobre forse il 20% della popolazione non si sarà vaccinato per molti motivi e spero che quando decideranno di farlo non sarà troppo tardi”, ha concluso Bassetti.
