“Il 2021, già in estate, potremo considerarlo l’anno della svolta. I vaccini ci aiuteranno a lasciare alle nostre spalle questo incubo“. Ne è convinto Pier Luigi Lopalco, epidemiologo e assessore regionale alla Sanità della Puglia che, all’Adnkronos Salute, spiega di “guardare con ottimismo all’anno che sta arrivando”.
Questo grazie soprattutto ai vaccini: “Gli elementi per confidare nel fatto che la vaccinazione possa mettere la parola fine alla pandemia ci sono tutti“, dice. Ma proprio per questo serve, ora, avere un supplemento di attenzione nelle feste.
Lopalco continua: “Davvero l’invito a tutti è al massimo della prudenza. Il fatto che persone che non si sono frequentate nelle scorse settimane o mesi si riuniscano al chiuso magari mangiando insieme è una opportunità di diffusione del contagio enorme. Serve un po’ di (ulteriore) pazienza e prudenza”.
L’ottimismo di Lopalco non si limita semplicemente al 2021.
