Sono le parole della professoressa Ilaria Capua, direttrice dell’UF One Health Center, a DiMartedì.
“Le prospettive che abbiamo sono legate all’efficacia della campagna di vaccinazione, è molto importante che determinate persone vengano vaccinate prima. Qui negli Stati Uniti siamo già abbastanza avanti con la somministrazione della seconda dose. Ci vuole lucidità, se gestiremo bene la campagna cercheremo di abbassare il numero dei focolai per tutto il 2021. Nel 2022, con tutta la popolazione vaccinata, molte meno mascherine e possiamo ricominciare a comportarci come prima. Mi dispiace, ma non credo possa esserci un liberi tutti prima del 2023“, afferma la scienziata.
