Massimo Galli torna in tv. Dopo le due settimane di silenzio stampa che aveva annunciato, l’infettivologo del Sacco di Milano è tornato in televisione come ospite della trasmissione Cartabianca.
“Non mi è mancata la televisione, proprio no”, ha esordito Galli, che però ha detto di essere felice di commentare i dati epidemiologici di questi giorni “con un grosso sospiro di sollievo”. Poi si è difeso: “Io non ho previsto nessuna catastrofe”. E ha distinto “le decisioni dei politici” e “le valutazioni d’obbligo per coloro che devono esaminare i dati scientifici”. Ad oggi il trend “è favorevole e positivo – ha ribadito – quindi sospiro di sollievo”.
Galli torna in tv, le parole
Galli è tornato sulla campagna di vaccinazione e sulle riaperture: “Quando si è deciso di riaprire non eravamo a mezzo milione di dosi di vaccino e c’erano problemi di forniture”. Poi ha ammonito: “Probabilmente, però, si infettano in modo asintomatico molte persone e questo è un problema”. Il virus non scomparirà nel 2022, ha assicurato l’infettivologo: “Mi sembra un’ipotesi campata in aria e rimango perplesso anche quando sento parlare di immunità di gregge”. Non si considerano gli elementi di variazione: “Chi ha fatto l’infezione di recente ha anticorpi più attuali rispetto a quelli che dà il vaccino”.
L’infettivologo è tornato sulle dichiarazioni fatte nei giorni in cui il governo Draghi ha deciso di riaprire: “Io non ho previsto nessuna catastrofe, ho detto che le aperture decise il 26 aprile avevano un margine di rischio, è andata bene”. Il Regno Unito, negli stessi giorni, “apriva con 30 milioni di dosi di vaccino in più, il mio discorso era di cautela – ha aggiunto Galli – Il 26 aprile è stato dato un messaggio oggettivo di liberi tutti in un momento in cui era rischioso darlo”, perché “non c’era una sola proiezione che ci garantisse che le cose sarebbero andate bene e qualcuno lo doveva pur dire”.
