Così il professor Andrea Crisanti a “L’aria che tira” su La7.
Dopo le tanto discusse dichiarazioni sul vaccino anti Covid, Crisanti torna a parlare della situazione coronavirus in Italia, con parole altrettanto forti.
“Il calo dei positivi di ieri è legato al numero dei tamponi, se avessimo fatto il consueto numero, avremmo avuto 28mila nuovi casi. In Lombardia, che è stata zona rossa, la situazione è in miglioramento. In Veneto, zona gialla, i casi aumentano – continua Crisanti pessimista – si tratta di una sorta di paradosso. Una regione preparata dal punto di vista sanitario, viene classificata zona gialla e adotta misure più blande, consentendo una maggiore circolazione del virus. Alla fine di questa esperienza, gli indicatori di queste zone andrebbero ripensati. Dovremmo scegliere il nostro obiettivo: se mantenere l’attività economica o tutelare la salute. Bisogna trovare il giusto compromesso”.
Il quadro delineato dal virologo non è certo dei migliori: “Alla fine della prossima settimana saremo il paese con più morti in Europa, non è una cosa di cui essere orgogliosi. Il Natale? Va sfruttato per ridurre i contagi. Le scuole saranno chiuse e le fabbriche quasi ferme, dobbiamo ridurre al minimo i contatti inutili”.
Poi la chiosa finale: “La terza ondata? Ormai è una certezza in questa situazione, non c’è bisogno di previsioni”.
