Gli anticorpi prodotti dal Coronavirus restano in vita nell’organismo delle persone che sono state positive, o sono negative, ma risultano positive al test sierologico, dai 9 ai 10 mesi. È questa l’anticipazione dello studio sulla popolazione del cluster di Vò, in Veneto, condotto dall’Università di Padova e dall’Imperial College di Londra, capofila della ricerca il professor Andrea Crisanti, microbiologo dell’Ateneo patavino.
“Non posso dire ancora nulla di più – spiega Crisanti – perché lo studio è sotto embargo, stiamo attendendo la valutazione del comitato scientifico della rivista ‘Nature’. Per il momento queste sono le uniche cose che posso dire in merito alla ricerca fatta sui cittadini di Vò”.
La valutazione degli esperti di Nature arriverà tra un paio di settimane, ci vorrà un mese e mezzo per rendere pubblico un lavoro che potrebbe dare nuove e preziose informazioni su come combattere il Covid 19. Lo studio su Vò aveva coinvolto la stragrande maggioranza dei circa 3200 cittadini del paese che, a più riprese, si sottoposero al tampone e all’analisi sierologica.
