“È stata arrestata a Catania la madre della bambina positiva al Covid abbandonata all’ospedale dei Bambini di Palermo nei mesi scorsi”.
“La Procura, che ha iniziato le ricerche della donna subito dopo il ricovero della piccola, le contesta il reato di abbandono di minore. La misura cautelare è stata chiesta dall’aggiunto Annamaria Picozzi ed è stata disposta dal gip Piergiorgio Morosini”.

“Nei mesi scorsi il personale medico aveva tentato per giorni di contattare la madre, senza mai raggiungerla. Da qui, le indagini e adesso l’arresto. La donna, di etnia rom, aveva portato in ospedale la bimba appena nata perché stava male”.
“Dal tampone era emerso che la neonata era positiva. Ma quando i medici hanno provato a contattare la madre al numero di cellulare lasciato al triage non ha risposto nessuno”.
“In ospedale si è invece presentata un’altra donna, che ha sostenuto di essere la zia della neonata e che pure è risultata positiva. Anche lei è stata ricoverata nel reparto di malattie infettive. Poi è fuggita”.
