Bassetti annuncia – Il Prof. Matteo Bassetti, direttore della Clinica di Malattie infettive dell’ospedale San Martino di Genova e componente della task force Covid-19 della Liguria, parla ai microfoni di Rai con Domenica In: “Non ho mai smesso di essere preoccupato. Bisogna avere pazienza per le prossime 5 settimane e probabilmente a fine marzo vedremo la luce. Con l’aumento delle vaccinazioni, dovremmo iniziare a vedere la discesa”.
“Dobbiamo parlare a quegli italiani che sono scettici. Bisogna mettere sul piatto le evidenze che abbiamo, rischi e benefici. Il vaccino è un farmaco e come tale può avere effetti collaterali. Se li nascondiamo non facciamo una buona informazione. Ma dobbiamo mettere sulla bilancia i benefici: tutti i vaccini danno una copertura del 100% nei confronti della malattia grave, della polmonite e della morte”, aggiunge.
“Dobbiamo parlare alla gente, è evidente che la bilancia penda dalla parte del vaccino. Sarebbe servita una campagna di informazione massiccia e oggi la gente pensa che i medici siano dalla parte dei vaccini perché sono dalla parte degli interessi commerciali. L’unico modo per uscire dal disastro è il vaccino: o ci convinciamo o avremo una parte consistente del paese che non potrà ripartire perché a livello europeo arriveremo ad avere una sorta di patente”, afferma ancora.
