Terremoto a Verona – Giornata disastrosa oggi 29 dicembre 2020, dopo il fortissimo terremoto croato, le ultime notizie da Verona. Tutte le ultime news aggiornate in tempo reale 24 ore su 24.

Non solo la Croazia. Anche l’Italia ha registrato almeno tre scosse di terremoto oggi in Veneto. La più forte intorno alle 15.36. Di magnitudo 4.4, con epicentro a 3 km da Salizzole, in provincia di Verona, secondo quanto comunicato dall’Istituto Nazionale di Geofisica e Vulcanologia. Poco dopo le 14 un altro sisma di magnitudo 3.4 era stato rilevato dai sismografi a 2 km a ovest sempre da Salizzole, a una profondità di 11 km. Poco dopo, alle 14.44, si era verificata un’altra scossa di magnitudo 2.8, sempre con epicentro nella stessa zona.

L’ultima scossa, quella più potente, si è sentita anche a Bologna e per tutta la dorsale adriatica. Decine di chiamate alla sala operativa dei Vigili del Fuoco, ma al momento non c’è nessuna segnalazione di danni.

La zona del basso Veronese dove oggi si sono registrate le scosse è un’area sismologica del tutto distante e distinte da quella croata, sia pure inserita nel più generale contesto tettonico di frizione tra la placca africana e quella euroasiatica.

L’epicentro del terremoto in Croazia è stato Petrinja, a una cinquantina di chilometri a sud di Zagabria. La cittadina è distrutta. Almeno una bambina è morta e ci sono anche diversi feriti. 

Il sisma è stato avvertito anche in Italia. Lungo tutta la costa Adriatica, da Trieste all’Abruzzo, ma anche a nord di Napoli e dentro i Laboratori di Fisica Nucleare del Gran Sasso.
