“Vorrei chiedere ai media di fare una pausa di riflessione e far parlare meno di Covid-19, perché continuano a parlare persone che lo fanno senza avere cervello sufficiente o perché sono prezzolati. C’è gente infatti che si fa pagare per andare in televisione. Così come c’è chi si raccomanda ai giornalisti pur di andarci o gente i cui uffici stampa chiedono ‘uno spazio tv’ al giornalista amico”.
Lo ha detto Giuseppe Ippolito, direttore scientifico dell’Istituto Spallanzani di Roma, intervenuto a ‘Timeline’ su Sky Tg24. Un j’accuse al quale la conduttrice del programma ha ribattuto puntualizzando: “Non qui”.
“Ciò – ha proseguito Ippolito – sta trasformando quella che era l’infodemia dei primi tempi in una vera guerra di comunicazione“.
E ancora. “Stiamo creando una serie di ‘visibilità’ che non sono né correlate al rigore scientifico né ad onesta intellettuale e di cui ci dobbiamo preoccupare. Abbiamo bisogno di avere un’unica voce – ha ammonito – perché se continuiamo a dare tanto spazio a notizie” non sempre univoche, “la gente non sa cosa deve fare. Ci vuole rispetto e responsabilità”.
