Esplosione Savogna – Un boato devastante ha svegliato nella mattina di martedì 9 febbraio 12 abitanti di Stermizza frazione montana del Comune di Savogna, sul Matajur. Una fuga di gas verificatasi nel bagno di un’abitazione, nonostante il bombolone si trovasse all’esterno, ha provocato un’esplosione che ha fatto saltare per aria l’intera ala est di un’abitazione, provocando anche la rottura dei vetri e danni strutturali in quella confinante.
Il proprietario della casa, Valentino Chiabai – che domenica compirà 78 anni -, dormiva a pochi metri di distanza,nel settore ovest, al pianoterra: miracolosamente non ha subito alcuna conseguenza dal disastro, che ha completamente ostruito di pietre la strada del paese.
Alcuni blocchi sono schizzati fino a 5-6 metri di distanza. Fortuna ha voluto che in quell’istante nessuna persona né veicolo transitasse lungo la via. Immediata la chiamata ai vigili del fuoco, intervenuti insieme ai carabinieri della Compagnia di Cividale e ormai da ore al lavoro per mettere il contesto in sicurezza.
Si tratterà adesso di capire se la parte restante della casa semidistrutta presenti anch’essa rischi di tenuta: da un primo accertamento non sembrerebbe. Sul posto pure il sindaco di Savogna, Germano Cendou: “Un miracolo – ribadisce – che i danni si siano limitati alle cose e che nessuno sia rimasto ferito. Lo scenario a Stermizza è di devastazione”.
