Il microbiologo Andrea Crisanti esprime perplessità sulla riapertura delle scuole e lancia una proposta.

A SkyTg24 Crisanti spiega qual è la sua idea: “Io prenderei un distretto scolastico in ogni zona, gialla, arancione o rossa, e aspetterei 20 giorni per vedere quello che succede. Aprirei le scuole in una provincia per vedere se queste misure funzionano, perché così abbiamo dei numeri. In queste aree farei test rapidi a tappeto per capire se il virus si trasmette. In questo modo avremmo dei numeri per capire cosa dobbiamo fare”.

Crisanti riapertura scuole: “Apriranno al buio senza dati”

Secondo Crisanti l’11 gennaio “si riaprono di nuovo le scuole al buio. Credo sia inaccettabile che dopo quattro mesi dall’implementazione delle misure di contenimento ancora non abbiamo dei dati per capire se hanno funzionato o meno”.

Quando gli si chiede se possiamo permetterci di riaprire la scuola, il microbiologo risponde: “La cosa più grave è che nessuno lo sa. Con questi provvedimenti forse abbiamo raggiunto un certo equilibrio tra la capacità del virus di trasmettersi e quella delle nostre attività di contenerlo. Ora noi questo equilibrio lo perturbiamo, permettiamo nuove opportunità al virus per trasmettersi con scuole, assembramento sui trasporti, assembramenti fuori alle scuole”.

Il professore ordinario di Microbiologia all’università di Padova aggiunge: “Da queste misure abbiamo imparato che le zone rosse funzionano, mentre le zone gialle funzionano meno bene, specialmente se quella zona gialla applica misure di sorveglianza e contenimento sbagliate, come ad esempio il Veneto”.

Infine, Crisanti sostiene che per sapere se è iniziata la terza ondata dovremo aspettare una o due settimane: “In questo momento i dati che abbiamo sono tutti falsati dal numero di tamponi fatti, che in queste settimane hanno avuto un andamento erratico a causa delle festività. Per capire quello che è successo durante le vacanze dovremo aspettare sette o otto giorni”.
