Dramma nel pomeriggio di oggi sule montagne di Sestriere (Torino). Due alpinisti hanno perso la vita. Si tratta di Carlo Alberto Cimenti, noto alpinista, e di Patrick Negro. I tecnici del Soccorso alpino e speleologico piemontese erano stati allertati nel pomeriggio dai carabinieri di Sestriere per il mancato rientro di due scialpinisti. Dopo una prima ricognizione effettuata da valle con il binocolo è stato notato un evidente distacco valanghivo nella zona della Cima del Bosco e del Col Chalvet, al confine tra i comuni di Cesana e Sauze di Cesana.

Uno dei due uomini travolti dalla valanga è il noto alpinista Carlo Alberto Cimenti, che si trovava insieme all’amico Patrick Negro, di Pragelato. Nel 2019 “Cala”, come viene chiamato Cimenti, era arrivato in cima alla nona vetta più alta del mondo: il Nanga Parbat, in Pakistan. Il soccorso alpino ha localizzato nella zona della valanga un segnale Arva, il dispositivo di ricerca nelle valanghe. L’allarme dei carabinieri di Sestriere è scattato intorno alle 16.55 di questo pomeriggio, dopo il mancato rientro dei due sciatori. Sono una quindicina i tecnici del soccorso alpino impegnati nelle ricerche sul posto. “Stiamo lottando contro il tempo”, aveva detto ad Askanews un portavoce del soccorso alpino.
Evidente distacco di neve causato da una Valanga nella zona della Cima del Bosco e del Col Chalvet – “Da una prima ricognizione effettuata da valle con il binocolo – aveva spiegato il Soccorso Alpino Piemontese – è stato notato un evidente distacco valanghivo al confine tra i comuni di Cesana e Sauze di Cesana”.
Pericolo valanghe in Piemonte – L’Arpa Piemonte segnalava per oggi un pericolo valanghe 3 marcato su tutto l’arco alpino, pericolo che resterà tale anche nelle prossime ore. La dimensione dei fenomeni potrà raggiungere medie e in alcuni casi grandi dimensioni.
