“Siamo davanti alla terza ondata del contagio da Covid-19”.
Così Guido Bertolaso, consulente della Regione Lombardia, durante il Consiglio regionale tenutosi oggi, martedì 23 febbraio, mentre venivano spiegate le nuove limitazioni alla provincia di Brescia e ad altri otto comuni. Sette nella Bergamasca e uno nel Cremonese, dove è stata istituita una zona arancione rafforzata.
Guido Bertolaso: “Sistema sanitario nel Bresciano già sotto stress”
Bertolaso ha poi aggiunto che, come si evince nei grafici presentati, nei comuni della provincia di Brescia “ci sono 250 contagi ogni 100.000 abitanti”. Così come “anche nei comuni limitrofi al Bresciano, zona in cui c’è una situazione più seria, in provincia di Bergamo”, il contagio si sta diffondendo. Sotto controllo, per il momento, la situazione in provincia di Mantova. “Il problema principale è la variante inglese – ha proseguito Bertolaso – che ha fatto aumentare di parecchio il contagio e anche purtroppo i ricoveri in ospedale e nelle terapie intensive”.
“Il dg al Welfare ha dato disposizione di elevare il livello di attenzione di attività delle Rianimazioni da 3 a 4 per organizzare la struttura di assistenza sanitaria per fronteggiare il problema”, ha poi dichiarato Bertolaso, “perché il sistema è già sotto stress”.
Il consulente lombardo: “Una guerriglia”
Il consulente regionale, ha continuato dicendo di aver sentito il Cts regionale sottolineando che occorre proseguire il percorso adottato assumendo nuove contromisure, perché questa è “una guerriglia in cui il nemico si sposta e fa quello che vuole. La nostra arma è il vaccino. Ne abbiamo un certo quantitativo e sappiamo che al momento non sono sufficienti, ma dobbiamo tenere sotto controllo la situazione”.
La vaccinazione proseguirà quindi nei territori “maggiormente colpiti” per ridurre le ospedalizzazioni e i ricoveri in terapia intensiva oltre che per ridurre “la trasmissione tra la popolazione”. Questo perché la variante inglese si trasmette molto più velocemente che le altre varianti.
