Sangue di San Gennaro 16 dicembre – Niente miracolo di San Gennaro oggi 16 dicembre 2020, le considerazioni sui social tra cui quella di Selvaggia Lucarelli. Le ultime notizie da Napoli, dalla Campania, dall’Italia e dal mondo.

L’evento, mai come in questo drammatico periodo segnato dalla pandemia, è carico di suggestioni e significati. I napoletani lo attendono con ansia. E l’attesa si prolungherà, al momento, almeno sino al pomeriggio. Infatti non si è rinnovato per ora il miracolo della liquefazione del sangue di San Gennaro.

Il prodigio è atteso nella giornata di oggi, 16 dicembre, ultima delle tre date nelle quali tradizionalmente si ripete. L’abate della Cappella di San Gennaro del Duomo di Napoli, monsignor Vincenzo De Gregorio, ha annunciato che per ora il miracolo non si è rinnovato al termine della messa celebrata alle 9 sull’altare del Duomo: “Quando abbiamo preso la teca dalla cassaforte – ha spiegato l’abate – il sangue era assolutamente solido e rimane assolutamente solido”.

E sui social, come era scontato, credenti e laici hanno cominciato a postare le loro considerazioni di vario genere. 

Intanto, neppure al termine della seconda messa il sangue di San Gennaro si è sciolto. Proseguono nella Cattedrale le preghiere dei fedeli che attendono l’annuncio. Alle 12 la teca sarà riportata nella Cappella del tesoro e sarà nuovamente ripresa alle 16.30. Alle 18.30 sarà celebrata un’altra messa alla presenza dell’Arcivescovo di Napoli, cardinale Crescenzio Sepe, durante la quale i fedeli sperano che sia dato loro e alla città tutta l’annuncio dell’avvenuto miracolo.

La messa

Alle 9 l’abate della Cappella di San Gennaro, monsignor De Gregorio, ha preso dalla cassaforte della Cappella la teca con il sangue del Santo Patrono portandola sull’altare maggiore del Duomo per la celebrazione della messa. La teca è stata riportata nella Cappella alle 12 per essere ripresa nuovamente alle 16.30. Le preghiere sono tuttora in corso.

Alle 18.30 sarà celebrata la messa, con la speranza dei fedeli di ricevere finalmente in quell’occasione l’annuncio dell’avvenuto miracolo. “Negli ultimi tempi a dicembre il sangue di solito si scioglie con ritardo – spiega l’abate a Repubblica – la celebrazione durerà un solo giorno, se il miracolo avverrà domani non lo sapremo”.

Le preghiere per le vittime del Covid

”Rivolgiamo la nostra preghiera a Dio perché dia forza e coraggio al nostro popolo per affrontare i momenti di questa pandemia che sta costringendo tutti a ripensare la propria vita e che sta causando molti problemi soprattutto ai più deboli e ai più fragili, e ai morti in solitudine che sono il dramma più grande’‘. Lo ha detto monsignor Vincenzo De Gregorio, abate della Cappella del ‘tesoro’, al termine della celebrazione eucaristica quando gli è stata portata la teca che contiene l’ampolla con il sangue di San Gennaro non ancora sciolto.

Il prodigio

Dunque oggi si celebra il terzo appuntamento con il prodigio della liquefazione del sangue del Santo Patrono in memoria dello scampato pericolo di Napoli dall’eruzione del Vesuvio del 1631.

Il prodigio di dicembre è detto “miracolo laico” perché si svolge nella Cappella di San Gennaro, gestita dalla Deputazione di San Gennaro, istituzione laica nata il 13 gennaio 1527 per un voto della città e presieduta dal sindaco di Napoli. Quest’anno però le celebrazioni si svolgono sull’altare maggiore del Duomo in modo da garantire il necessario distanziamento previsto dalle norme anti Covid, difficile da garantire all’interno della Cappella.

Dei tre miracoli, la data del 16 dicembre è la ricorrenza meno conosciuta, rispetto a quella della processione del sabato che precede la prima domenica di maggio e quella canonica del 19 settembre.

Si tramanda che il in quella data, nel 1631, una tremenda eruzione del Vesuvio stava seriamente minacciando di distruggere Napoli. La lava era ormai alle porte della città e stava per demolire i primi edifici, ma i napoletani si appellarono a San Gennaro, che da sempre protegge Napoli dalla potenza distruttrice del vulcano, portando in processione le ampolle del sangue con il busto del Santo Protettore al ponte dei Granili, il ponte della Maddalena. Il sangue si sciolse e il magma si arrestò improvvisamente risparmiando la città.
