Grave lutto per l’ex pugile Nino Benvenuti.
Il primogenito Stefano, 58 anni, è stato trovato morto in un bosco sull’altopiano del Carso. Si tratterebbe di suicidio. Il primo figlio del campione olimpico e mondiale di pugilato, che oggi ha 82 anni, scontava una pena di quattro anni per furto di gioielli (ai danni dell’ex compagna). In primavera aveva ottenuto gli arresti domiciliari a causa del Covid-19. Era sposato e aveva un figlio ancora minorenne.
Benvenuti ha sempre avuto con Stefano e gli altri figli rapporto difficile. In un’intervista al Corriere della Sera, nel 2018, spiegava: «Il rapporto coi figli. Quelli avuti con Giuliana — l’ex moglie che lasciò per Nadia, il grande amore della sua vita, ndr — , cinque inclusa una adottata, non li vedo, non li sento, non mi vogliono parlare. Lei me li ha messi contro. Ho nipoti che non conosco e penso che, anche se non sono stato un buon padre, potrei ancora essere un buon nonno».
