Marta Novello – Una ventina di coltellate sferrate con foga, una dopo l’altra, anche dopo la caduta in un fossato. Una ragazza di 26 anni è stata aggredita lunedì pomeriggio mentre faceva jogging in mezzo alla campagna. L’agguato l’ha teso un ragazzino di 16 anni, nordafricano di seconda generazione, ora in stato di arresto con l’accusa di tentato omicidio.
La giovane, Marta Novello, di Mogliano Veneto (Treviso), studentessa di Lingue, è ricoverata in condizioni disperate all’ospedale Ca’ Foncello: ha un polmone perforato. L’aggressione è avvenuta intorno alle 17 lungo una strada alberata a cavallo tra le province di Treviso e Venezia, con i frutteti e le ville degli imprenditori.
Marta correva e ascoltava la musica con le cuffie auricolari. Il sedicenne l’ha rincorsa in bicicletta, fino a un certo punto. Quando si è trovato vicino ha lasciato cadere la bici e l’ha rincorsa a piedi, tenendo in pugno un coltello da cucina. Poche e brusche parole di minaccia, poi i fendenti al petto. Marta Novello ha provato a difendersi nel corpo a corpo con il suo aggressore.
Entrambi sono rotolati in un fossato ma anche in quel frangente ha continuato a colpirla. Provvidenziale l’intervento di due operai, che passavano di lì alla fine del turno di lavoro e che inizialmente avevano scambiato quel groviglio di corpi nel fossato per un incidente stradale. Sono scesi per aiutare entrambi, li hanno fatti uscire dall’acqua. Solo in un secondo momento si sono resi conto che la ragazza sanguinava e aveva ferite ben diverse da quelle di un incidente stradale.
Sono riusciti quindi a bloccare l’adolescente, che quasi in stato di choc ha atteso l’arrivo della gazzella dei carabinieri. Quello del sedicenne è un nome noto alle forze dell’ordine, nonostante la giovane età ha già più di qualche precedente penale. Interrogato in caserma, non ha però fornito alcuna motivazione sul movente.
Gli investigatori dell’Arma sono portati a pensare che si sia trattato di un tentativo di rapina ma non si esclude nemmeno l’atto sconsiderato dovuto a una patologia psichica. Marta Novello è entrata subito in sala operatoria per un lungo intervento chirurgico. “Una preghiera per la ragazza che combatte per la vita, e solo disprezzo per il vigliacco aggressore”, ha commentato il leader della Lega Matteo Salvini.
