È morto ieri nella sua abitazione di Lucca per un malore improvviso all’età di 79 anni Vincenzo Placido, ex assessore comunale socialista e poi esponente cittadino di Forza Italia, fratello dell’attore. Lascia la moglie Rosaria e il figlio Beniamino.
Nato a Lucera, in provincia di Foggia, il 1 aprile 1941, Vincenzo Placido aveva vissuto ad Ascoli Satriano fino al conseguimento della laurea in lettere e filosofia all’Università di Bari e poi si era trasferito a Lucca, dove ha esercitato l’insegnamento di italiano, filosofia e storia dal 1968 al 2003.
Vincenzo Placido è stato consigliere comunale e assessore al Comune di Lucca.
Ha ricoperto anche il ruolo di vicepresidente con delega al teatro dell’associazione intercomunale della Piana di Lucca, è stato il vicepresidente del Teatro del Giglio di Lucca e presidente dell’Istituto Musicale Luigi Boccherini. Ha collaborato in prima fila anche alla nascita del festival Lucca Effetto Cinema.
