Terrore in Germania, dove oggi 1 dicembre 2020, un’automobile è piombata sulla folla nella zona pedonale di Treviri, cittadina nei pressi del confine con il Lussemburgo nella Renania-Palatinato.
La polizia ha fatto sapere su Twitter che ci sarebbero quattro morti e almeno quindici feriti: un testimone oculare al quotidiano locale Trierischer Volksfreund ha dichiarato che una Range Rover grigio scuro si è lanciata a grande velocità contro le persone che “volavano in aria”.
Tra le vittime ci sarebbe anche un bambino. La zona pedonale del centro era particolarmente frequentata in quel momento per via dello shopping natalizio: la polizia ha subito invitato i cittadini a evitare la zona.
Si teme un attacco terroristico, ma il movente non sembra essere quello, anche se è ancora tutto da ricostruire: per ora è noto che la persona alla guida è stata immediatamente arrestata.
Secondo alcune testimonianze si tratta di un uomo di 51 anni originaria di Treviri.
