È morto dopo un grave incidente un giardiniere allo stadio “Moustoir” di Lorient, una decina di minuti dopo la partita di Ligue 1 tra Lorient e Rennes (0-3). L’episodio, secondo una prima ricostruzione, sembrerebbe essere avvenuto mentre l’uomo stava installando sul terreno di gioco il macchinario per la luminoterapia del manto erboso. Il macchinario gli sarebbe crollato addosso. Il giardiniere, nonostante i soccorsi e il trasferimento in ambulanza all’ospedale di Lorient, ha perso la vita.
“È un terribile incidente – ha affermato il sindaco di Lorient, Fabrice Loher, presente allo stadio – Non posso dire altro in questo momento“. Il Lorient ha immediatamente convocato una riunione col responsabile della sicurezza dello stadio. Nessun giocatore della squadra ha parlato alla fine della partita, col risultato che è passato in secondo piano date le circostanze.
L’allenatore del Rennes, Julien Stéphan, in conferenza stampa ha dichiarato: “Il nostro pensiero va a quello che è successo sul campo al termine della partita”. Sull’episodio la polizia ha effettuato i primi rilievi sul posto e ha aperto un’indagine per chiarire la dinamica dell’incidente.
