Le Nike Satan Shoes sono state ritirate dal commercio. Lo annuncia la Nike, dopo che aveva dichiarato di voler far causa al collettivo artistico di Brooklyn che le ha ideate. Gli artisti del gruppo Mschf rimborseranno i gli acquirenti.
Le sneakers contengono una goccia di sangue umano nelle suole. Delle scarpe, il modello Nike Air Max 97 modificato, ne erano state realizzate solo 666 paia: tutte vendute al prezzo di 1.018 dollari.
Le scarpe erano andate immediatamente sold out. Adesso, però, sono state tolte dal mercato. Tutte ritirate dal commercio, tranne una, che resterà al rapper Lil Nas X. Il musicista aveva infatti collaborato alla loro realizzazione lanciandole nel video del suo ultimo pezzo.
Nell’accordo tra gli artisti e Nike, di cui non sono stati rivelati altri dettagli, rientrano anche le Jesus Shoes realizzate due anni fa da Mschf sempre modificando le Air Max 97.
Chissà se Lil Nas e gli artisti del Mschf avranno imparato la lezione.
