Stamattina, sul posto, interverrà anche L’ENPA (Ente Nazionale Protezione Animali). Chiamato da Maria Teresa Sabino attuale presidente di Legambiente di Castel di Sasso e sempre sensibile ai problemi del posto, già con diverse iniziative. ”Abbiamo come si vede nell’ immagine la certezza del lupo e stamattina con l’ENPA, cercheremo di fare il punto e mettere in atto le misure necessarie a protezione dell’animale e delle stesse persone”.
“Occorre conoscere con la maggiore precisione possibile quanti lupi abbiamo in Italia, perché spesso si grida ‘al lupo, al lupo’ ma si tratta di ibridi o di cani vaganti” – spiega l’ENPA. Il lupo è una specie protetta dalla normativa comunitaria e da convenzioni internazionali ed è anche molto studiato. In Italia è stato oggetto dello svolgimento di 18 progetti cofinanziati dalla Commissione Europea, alcuni dei quali attualmente in corso.
