Positivo Roma – Portato di notte in ambulanza con difficoltà respiratorie, e positivo al Covid, all’ospedale Sant’Eugenio. E poi sistemato in un capannone di smistamento, al freddo. Dopo due ore di attesa l’annuncio da parte di un infermiere:
“Probabilmente sarete presi in carico domani mattina, dovete aspettare”, senza che gli fosse stata fatta alcuna visita. Il paziente così ha deciso di tornare a casa facendosi a piedi 4 chilometri per evitare contatti sui mezzi pubblici con altre persone.
All’indomani mattina il ricovero d’urgenza, sempre col trasporto di un’ambulanza, in un altro ospedale, al San Camillo, dove gli è stata riscontrata una polmonite interstiziale bilaterale ed è tuttora in terapia intensiva.
È il contenuto dell’esposto depositato in procura dall’avvocato di un commerciante romano di 49 anni, Marco A.. Sulla vicenda, raccontata dal Messaggero, ora sarà aperta un’inchiesta.
L’uomo, residente all’Eur, da alcuni giorni si trovava in quarantena a casa insieme alla compagna, anche lei nelle stesse condizioni, dopo aver fatto il tampone. Dopo Capodanno ha iniziato ad aggravarsi. Prima la febbre, poi le difficoltà respiratorie, e la saturazione – misurata in casa da solo – che peggiorava.
Così, la notte a cavallo tra il 2 e il 3 gennaio ha deciso di chiamare il 118. L’ambulanza è arrivata in casa e lo ha trasportato al Sant’Eugenio, dopo è stato sistemato in una sala container senza neanche una sedia su cui sedersi.
Dove tra l’altro c’erano altri pazienti in attesa come lui. Dopo diverse ore, intorno alle due di notte, un infermiere è arrivato all’interno del locale comunicandogli che sarebbero stati visitati solo la mattina. Un invito ad andarsene in sostanza. A quel punto il commerciante ha preferito fare ritorno a casa.
Per evitare di entrare in contatto con persone, per limitare un eventuale contagio, non ha chiamato un taxi né preso i mezzi pubblici. Con il coprifuoco incombente ha percorso 4 chilometri fino alla sua abitazione, pensando che al caldo di casa sarebbe stato meglio. Al mattino, però, le condizioni di salute sono peggiorate.
A quel punto ha richiamato il 118 e, all’arrivo dei soccorsi, con la compagna, si sono sincerati che fosse portato in un altro ospedale. Arrivato al san Camillo gli è stata riscontrata una polmonite bilaterale interstiziale. Si trova in terapia intensiva.
