Morto Mauro Bellugi – E’ morto Mauro Bellugi. L’ex calciatore e difensore dell’Inter aveva subito l’amputazione delle gambe dopo essere stato colpito dal Covid.
Aveva compiuto 71 anni il 7 febbraio. In carriera aveva vestito le maglie di Inter, Bologna, Napoli, Pistoiese, oltre che quella della nazionale (32 presenze). Il suo unico gol in carriera con l’Inter fu in Coppa Campioni contro il Borussia Monchengladbach.
A inizio novembre era stato ricoverato per problemi legati all’anemia mediterranea ed era risultato positivo al coronavirus. Per salvarlo i medici furono costretti ad amputargli le gambe, Bellugi era ancora in ospedale dove aveva cominciato la riabilitazione. Alla fine le complicazioni dovute al Covid sono state fatali.
Queste alcune sue dichiarazioni poche settimane fa in cui diceva di volersi ispirare a Alex Zanardi:
“Ogni santo giorno che Dio manda in terra. Però lui è un triplo supereroe, io sono solo un uomo con un po’ di palle che si ispirerà ad Alex. E sono sicuro che lui uscirà dall’ospedale guarito e rimesso a nuovo, e continuerà a mostrarci come si vive“
