“Il virus diffuso in tutto il mondo in questo momento non è il virus di Wuhan. È il virus del Nord Italia”. A dirlo è il noto virologo tedesco Alexander Kekulé.
Nel corso del talk show della rete tedesca ZDF “Markus Lanz”, il direttore dell’Istituto di microbiologia medica della Universitätsklinikum Halle ha dichiarato che “il virus attualmente in circolo è in realtà una variante comparsa nel Nord Italia”.
Secondo il virologo, la variante è più contagiosa di quella di Wuhan.
“Attualmente il 99,5% di tutti i casi globali può essere ricondotto geneticamente al virus del nord Italia”, dice Kekulè. “Anche i casi attuali in Cina sono reimportazioni dall’Europa e dal resto del mondo”.
“Hanno ragione i cinesi quando dicono che noi europei siamo responsabili della pandemia globale?” ha chiesto il conduttore Lanz. “No”, ha ribattuto il virologo, “il virus si sarebbe diffuso anche nel mondo in quel modo”.
La differenza è che a Wuhan “non sapevano con cosa avevano a che fare”, mentre nel nord Italia erano già arrivati avvertimenti dalla Cina, “ignorati per molto tempo”, sostiene il virologo.
In Cina, invece, il virus sarebbe stato messo “sotto controllo” utilizzando “metodi che qui non accettiamo”.
